The rich base of the Chromocult® Listeria selective agar encourages excellent growth. The supplement of inhibitors stops most of the bacteria, yeast and fungi from growing. In contrast, Listeria is uninhibited in its growth, producing blue-green colonies; <i>L. monocytogenes</i> also form an opaque halo.
