Functioning as a component of the multisynthase complex, ProRS uses ATP to catalyze the conversion of L-glutamate and tRNA(Glu) to L-glutamyl-tRNA(Glu), as well as the conversion of L-proline and tRNA(Pro) to L-prolyl-tRNA(Pro).
